NAME: Dakota / Drew Ellsworth

NAME MEANING:
Dakota { “də-KO-tə” } Meaning friendly to all.
Drew { “Droo” } Meaning manly.
Ellsworth { “Ells-worth” } From the nobles estate.

AGE: 14

GENDER: Fem

SEXUALITY: Asexual

PERSONALITY:
Dakota is known to suffer from a symptom known as "Dissociative Identity Disorder" or more commonly known as "Multiple Personality Disorder". Meaning, she has two or more different--or split--personalities that make her up. In her case, she only has two prominent and shown personalities. Though, they're pretty define in their own way which makes it clear as to what one she's taken over by at the time. Unlike what those may think, Dakota does not know or realize when she slips between the two and she is not able to control when she does transfer to the other one. It simply happens due to the situation she is and how something makes her feel. Furthermore, Dakota will often forget things from her "other personality" such as important events and conversations, and refers memories in general not be brought up because of this lack of ability to remember. Honestly, she prefers not to have her split personalities brought up because it becomes too aggravating for her own good.

To make it easier to explain, I will separate Dakota and Drew.

Dakota: Some like to call this her original personality, just simply due to how she more commonly sports this then the other. But she's neither been able to confirm or deny it. In this personality she's distinctly an ambivert leaning towards introvert. She's actually quite charming in this personality when you get to talk to her and she loves conversation, however she will possibly become a bit snarky at times. But, she means good. Not only that but she can be quite forward and honest. This personality dominates when she's happy, in extreme moods of satisfaction, victory, and most of the common parts in her life. It's more common to see her like this, and it's a good thing to see her like this. For the most part.

Drew: On the other hand, when she's put into situations of distress, violence, danger, "triggers", and even when she's upset this personality will dominate. This is considered her true, split personality to those other than herself, but again--she's not been able to confirm or deny anything. While like this Drew will become what some call "Psychopathic" and does show several signs of this. She's also a lot more on edge, jumpy, and overall unempathetic to those other than herself. She can also seem mentally unstable if thrown into an extreme sense of imbalance. She begins to "fear" (more like believe) that everyone around her is out to get her, and trusts no one. Even if you had known her your whole life she would still consider you a possible harm doer. And, while this personality might seem completely and utterly terrible it actually helps her push through a lot of traumatic situations that a normal person might turn insane or crazy by. Like this, she's a fighter, and isn't afraid to kill people if they mean harm to her. Luckily, she has yet to go insane in this one.

Other things to mention is that she continues to consider herself as female and aesexual when she's in either. Dakota can also switch between these two personalities in a manner of a minute and can last for as long as the situation and atmosphere plays out.

GODLY PARENT: Ate - Goddess of Evil and Misfortune. (Just recently claimed, and people weren’t that surprised.)

POWERS: No powers as of now. Though, it’s rumored the girl carries a curse of misfortune towards herself and those near her for long periods of time.

HISTORY:
She was labeled a child of misfortune since birth. Her mother had vanished after she was delivered, leaving Dakota to the life of a middle class, single father, that had been guilted into keeping the child by his family instead of taking her to an orphanage like he wanted to. Because her father worked most of the time she was taken care of by her uncle and her aunt from the day she was taken out of the hospital to the point where she started preschool. Once she started pre-k only her uncle began to watch over her. He never had given her any trouble for the most part, and he seemed like a nice man. She was four, though, and a child of her age could barely write her name and count to 100. So, when he began to come over and watch her only to offer her tiny dosages of strong substances that he had claimed to be a sort of juice, she didn’t exactly think much about it.

This continued for a span of three months, usually once every two weeks. During this time she began to become very sick physically--she lost sleep, developed migraines, and began to throw up a lot more often. And, after her father was sick of getting calls about her spending half of her time at Preschool in the bathroom he sent her to the doctors. Only to find out that day that Dakota had a high level of alcohol in her system and was becoming poisoned from it. With the right medication and flushing out her system she soon returned to normal overtime. At that time her uncle was sent to jail and not allowed to see the girl anymore.

Between a three year time span, her father had to get a friend of his to watch her, seeing as he wasn’t able to afford a babysitter to pick her up off the school bus and stay with her until he got home five days of the week. Dakota also had found difficulty in school. She was labeled by her peers as “stupid” and “challenged” for her lack of ability to read and write like her classmates could. School became a frustrating process from Kindergarten on. And in the middle of first grade she was sent to a special class to teach her at a pace that worked for her. Seeing as, well, the classes she was apart of moved too fast for her and she would hold back the students from learning because the teacher had to direct their time on her. She was finally diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia in second grade.

On top of it, Dakota found interest with collecting small things like buttons, thumb tacks, or pennies she found on the ground and around the school. However, academically she was deprived and was constantly behind in schoolwork in general. She was already beginning to rebel in second grade because of how much they pushed her and how stressed she felt because of it. Though, that only resulted in a phone call to her father who was already annoyed with her existence and all the trouble she was causing for herself and everyone around her.

Once Dakota hit third grade, however, things changed. The friend her father had been using as their primary babysitter--who was already very suspicious in Dakota’s mind--began to ask her if she wanted “massages”. He had never done anything wrong to her besides get angry with her occasionally, and unlike her uncle hadn’t offered her alcohol. And from her common (but limited) knowledge massages were supposed to help with relaxation and stress. However, that quickly changed when she laid on the bed of her room and began to feel very uncomfortable as to where his hands moved. Dakota didn’t feel anywhere close to safe or relaxed, and after enduring it for a while in fear that if she tried to leave he’d get mad like he had in the past, she finally claimed she was done and locked herself in her father’s room until her father came home.

Dakota, not knowing how to handle the situation, began to dive into a flurry of panic attacks whenever she was alone and not around others. She was afraid of him, but wasn’t sure if what he had done was wrong. She kept saying to herself it was normal, that it was okay. That he hadn’t done anything wrong. She became embarrassed around him and refused to spend her days near him. Finally, one day after she was getting out of the shower he asked her again if she wanted a massage but she declined rather quickly. He was displeased with this and forcefully dragged her to her room, repeating what he had done but doing much worse things. Drew, frightened, panicked, completely stressed, and feeling as if her life was in danger flipped a switch and went batshit crazy on the man. Who, ended up calling the police due to her psychopathic nature.

The Police then arrived, the girl now dressed and completely panicked. Dakota had told them everything and once again another person was sent to jail this time for Pedophilia.

As time developed, her father was unsure what to do with the girl. She began to have to stay home alone and played a lot with the cat they had during fourth grade. Around this time people began to notice her clear personality switches and abnormal behaviors. After quite some time she was sent to the doctors again, then a psychiatrist, who later diagnosed her as having “Dissociative Identity Disorder” (DID). She was quickly put into talk therapy to help her, not like she hadn’t in the past and more recently thanks to the alcohol poisoning and sexual abuse.

On top of all this, her academic score decreased dramatically to the point where she stopped caring in general. Her collections grew, her insomnia kicked in, and she began to experience unexplainable things, and her father continued to drown her out of his life due to how much negativity she drew whenever he was around her.

Finally, when she was just turning thirteen she was introduced to a camp by a Satyr and convinced her to come with him, leaving her father behind to go after being convinced that everyone there was just like her. Along the way they were attacked by Stymphalian Birds several times, each time being able to scare them away with Justin Bieber music until they hit a tree at the border of camp. Somehow they lived.

She wasn’t claimed by her mother Ate until about a month ago. And she’s sort of been distant with most people.
